How much soreness/stiffness is appropriate the day after stretching your backbends when fairly new?

For people just getting into or back into backbends, how sore should we be the next day?  Some days I am not really sore at all, and other times I feel very stiff, and inflexible when I wake up.  I want to make sure I'm not doing something counter productive.  Will a longer forward fold counter stretch at the end help?  Thank youSee More

Revised middle splits routine

Hello all. 

I decided to revamp my middle splits routine. Before I was mostly doing stretching on my glad which has worked fairly well, but I thought I should be progressing faster. 

Now I do a mix of different groin stretches including concentric stretching and weighted stretches. 

New routine

Machine 2-3x a day

Weighted stretches 1-2x preferably following machine…
