Ace bandage....?

Hi everyone. I was watching a behind the scenes segment of the 3 Kooza girls from Cirque Du Soleil. It shows the girls stretching with their coaches and talk about how many hours they stretch. What they didn't mention is what is that thing that is wrapped around their waist? It sort of looks like a wide ace bandage. I was guessing that it was for support and it was thermal. Does anyone know what it is?
