filling out the map

Hi

now that the map is on the front page some people have filled out their location. It would be good if the name used would be the same name than on CU. Someone filled out "Wheee" but that is unknown. So I deleted it again.

How to add an entry

• Start the map with http://www.zeemaps.com/contortionistsunite
• Click in the Menu on Additions
• Select Add Marker
• Enter your name (best is your name on this forum) or the name of the school
• Enter the address. For privacy reasons you may only give the country and town. Please enter the precise adress for schools
• You can also use Map select a location
  • click on Map select a location
  • a popup appears telling you to 'Click on map to select location'
  • close the popup with OK
  • zoom and move the map around until you see the desired location
  • click on the map, the latitude and longitude will be filled out in the form
  • if the location is not correct, repeat this section
• important if you are not a school but a regular member, you need to toggle the marker from "school" to "member"
• Click on the details tab to fill out more infos if needed. A good idea is to enter your profile adress as website.
• Optionally you can add more stuff on the media tab
• when done, click on submit
• a new popup appears with an web address. Bookmark that address as you can use it to correct your entry in the future.

That's it, you just enhanced the contortionists unite world map!

I have tried several times to add my location to the map but am unable to do so for some reason.

My add = partial fail. I added myself, but I show up a as a school. School of hard knocks maybe.... I'm a computer dork, not sure how to fix. Sorry.

I have the same problem as Glen, I can't add myself...

well glen added himself twice while trying. seems to have sometimes glitches. I can't find your name though.
Keep trying. And use Aylian. Don't forget to switch from "school" to "member". If you forget I can still do that later on.

I had a complete dumb blonde moment and put my entire address not realizing it would show up on the actual map (yes, dumb, I know). To top it off, I didn't save the URL so that I could edit it. O.O;;;

Two entries have ben made recently without an adress and no contact possibility. I will delete them again if nobody says what this is.

I want to add my school but i don't understand this at all.

I added instructions to the top of this page, so this should now work. Please note: contortioncentre is already on the map. Please check the address. I tried to see something with google street view but there seems to be a huge hotel where I expect the school.
