So recently I have noticed that the more flexible that I have gotten, the more I NEED to stretch. If I go for too long without stretching I get all anxious and get restless, especially in my legs and back. It isn't painful, per say, just the sort of irritating tension that one might get being cooped up on a plane or in a car seat for too long. I have heard tell that this is something that contortionists often experience, but I just wanted to check that I am not doing anything that might injury me and if anyone has suggestions that would be wonderful.

EDIT:: oh, and when I say "too long without stretching" I don't mean two or three days, I mean more than eight hours or so.

I don't have personal experience from this, but when I was a senior in high school, the girls on the pom squad (they performed with the marching band) on the long 40-hour bus ride form Cedar Falls, Iowa, to San Diego would put their legs up on the backs of the seats in front of them to keep their hamstrings from getting too tight. I don't know if you want to do that when you're in a plane or something.
