un besooooo
I realised recently that i often overemphasize one are when i stretch, so i really neglect the other areas. Thats why i am trying to focus on hips too, because i have really been neglecting them the last couple of weeks, maybe even months (i know, its really bad). So thats why i am trying to alternate, mabye that will help, to work one day on hips, the other on middlesplits... Lately i have been putting in a lot of effort into my middlesplits, and those stretches take up pretty much the entire stretching session... So that has really been my biggest challenge in stretching, is finding that balance, so that i can work on all the stretches, for long enough, without skipping out on one, or running out of time before i can get to everything i wanted to do... Also finding that balance between doing the poses long enoug...
But i think there are plenty of challenges for anyone who wants to improve flexibility or learn contortion. And its really a personal challenge that everyone has to overcome, and its a challenge that occurs over and over again, and it can be very different for different people.
Middlesplits are my big challenge, and i am working my butt off trying to achieve them, and i am always making improvement, sometimes small improvement, and other times its a lot better... But middlesplits are really tough! Its been quite awhile that i have been working on middlesplits, so i really want to achieve them pretty soon, but that is my challenge, to be patient and keep on working till i have them... Because i have good days and i have bad days, and on the bad days i feel so far away from having my middlesplits... It can be very discouraging...
jaja pues la verdad quien sabe creo que es algo de combinación (=
pero tu tambien eres muy buena y que edad tienes?
It seems that a lot of contortionists seem to make a decision between frontbending and backbending, and while it is so that a lot of the great backbenders are also great frontbenders, its not often the other way around, not a lot of great frontbenders are great backbenders...
My stretching has been great, i have been able to put an hour aside each evening for stretcing, and so far its been great. I have been working mostly on my hip flexibility, which I have been neglecting lately, and then also working on the three splits... My middlesplits finally seem to be improving again, which is really helping my motivation at the moment...
I think you just have to be patient with yourself, and not jump to any conclusions so quickly... You are way too good with backbending to even think of giving it up... And especially while you are still young, i don't think you will like this decision a few years from now... So just be patient with yourself, and listen to your body, it often gives us useful information, especially when we might be trying too hard, or too fast, and especially when we use technique that isn't great...
