I've been wanting to ask this quesiton here for some time. Laying on your back with both feet behind your head is often referred to as Yoganidrasana, or "yogic sleep". (see example) Has anyone here…

Thanks for the reply! The lotus was also the starting point for me, achieving that really gave me the necessary confidence and motivation to try and learn other poses. In the beginning, even while lotus was all i could do, i really did a lot of it, and i would try all kinds of variations. But oddly enough, it took me about three months to do a proper lotus... While i was learning, i was using shoes, so what they did was really just narrowly hang on into a lotus, i couldn't do it any tighter back then, and all of a sudden on day, my legs just popped, and i had the foot on top of the other thigh, well both feet... That was probably the defining moment for me. three years after that i discovered the internet, and it was then that i started learning splits and how to put my feet behind my head, so i was about 16 at the time... Have you met other people who can also do what you do?

I am rather curious, how did you get started with stretching, and especially frontbending. I think i have mostly improved as a result of the internet, that has provided me with information and pictures, but most important motivation.
