My days of "real" intense contortion are kind of over for me for several reasons--the number one reason being I had 3 major abdominal surgeries back in 2005 into 2006 to correct a life threatening disease I had for a few years (it's called "Ulcerative Colitis--I wouldn't wish it on enemies if I had any) As a result, I have an incisional hernia due to all this & I must be careful nowdays--lots of scar tissue also which limits range of motion also. I don't want to hurt myself cause when I overdue it I feel not so good. I still stretch here & there but nothing like I used to --I'm also 46 years old now and just because of age alone it's harder. I spend most of my time teaching Acrobatics, Contortion & tumbling to my students & my daughter. I 've always loved it since I'm 11 years old and am still after all these years fascinated by it . But I was asking if you have someone to stretch you because I've had so many students start with me and are rather tight & stiff & it's amazing how much further you can go when someone pushes you to "feel" that next level. Even if you have a friend hold you when you are at your furthest point and press you down deeper into the stretch. Well, keep going because for someone self taught you look pretty darn good---you seem to be very natural/gifted to it.
